Built by SoftCapital

MatchCore is developed by SoftCapital, an investment technology firm that has spent years building trading infrastructure — algorithmic funds, robo-advisory platforms and trading terminals — for professional and institutional users.

Why we built another matching engine

Every matching engine on the market is built primarily for one model — usually a conventional central limit order book. Operators building prediction markets or pooled betting products end up bolting an AMM or a spreadsheet-driven settlement process onto infrastructure that was never designed for it.

MatchCore starts from the opposite direction: a single deterministic, replicated core that treats binary matching and pari-mutuel pooling as first-class matching models, not afterthoughts — while still delivering CLOB performance that stands on its own.

MatchCore layered architecture from access protocols down to persistence and audit Access Layer FIX 4.2/4.4 · FAST · WebSocket · REST · SBE binary MatchCore Engine Price-time & pro-rata order books · binary complementary matching · pari-mutuel pools Data & Risk Layer Market data distribution · pre-trade risk · position & margin hooks Persistence & Audit Write-ahead log · deterministic replay · regulator-ready audit trail
Principles

What we optimise for

Determinism first

Every match must be exactly reproducible from the log. No exceptions, no "usually consistent."

Performance as a default

Sub-50µs latency and linear cluster scaling aren't an optional tier — they're the baseline.

Boring in production

A matching engine should be the least surprising part of your stack. We design for operators who want to stop thinking about it.
